The Facilities Coordinator reports to our Operations Director and is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment and air handling systems for clean room manufacturing and office space. The Facilities technician will also provide oversight for the maintenance and repair of HVAC and manufacturing equipment. The Facilities technician will exhibit good documentation skills and may help in writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in this FDA regulated environment. This position is customer-based with a focus on providing a safe, efficient, and comfortable working environment for Wedgewood employees.

When will you work?

  • This is an onsite position working Monday – Friday.

What you’ll do:

  • Follow the Work Order system to address facilities related tasks in a compliant, safe, and timely manner.
  • Work with Leadership and Quality to develop a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance program based on manufacturer requirements, industry best practices and professional experience.
  • Repairs and maintains in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications, machinery, and mechanical equipment such as autoclaves, HVAC, tablet machine, refrigeration, water purification systems, and production equipment. The pharmacy manufacturing and office space is a total of 40,000ft
  • Use the Building Management System (BMS) to monitor and troubleshoot all areas of the building including a critical cleanroom environment.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain a spares parts inventory as required.
  • Respond quickly to emergencies, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety and quality protocols.
  • Participate in safety & EH&S programs.
  • Able to work overtime or weekends, on occasion, per maintenance scheduling and participates in on-call rotation.
  • Contribute to the development of the Facilities operating and capital budgets based on observed facility needs and deficiencies requiring attention.
  • May initiate purchase order for parts and machines.
  • May author and/or revise preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Assist with renovations, equipment moves, equipment installations, and construction prep.
  • Interaction with various vendors on-site and ensuring the work is completed safely and correctly.

  • Excel when working independently; prioritize a variety of requests promptly focusing on minimal loss of production time.
  • Have a strong knowledge of machine and building functionality including mechanical, motors, instrumentation, electrical circuits, plumbing, HVAC, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, PLCs, and others
  • Problem solve quickly and can successfully troubleshoot a variety of machines and building systems quickly and correctly.
  • Efficiently work with a variety of teams to meet the best-desired outcome in a professional, positive manner.

What you’ve done:

  • Demonstrated the ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and detailed work instructions while maintaining a safe working environment
  • Obtained a High School Diploma
  • Worked with a facility work order system
  • Developed strong communication skills
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a technical role
