Full Job Description

Description:Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2025 Engineering Intern in Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will assist in the design and development of new products and features, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and success, conduct research and analysis to support engineering initiatives, participate in the testing and debugging of new and existing products and contribute to the development of technical documentation and specifications.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of engineering principles and practices, familiarity with CAD software and other engineering tools and be currently pursuing a 4 year/ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc. Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
-Pursuing Bachelors of Science Degree from an accredited university in a related field (Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical, etc)
-Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices
-Familiarity with CAD software, other engineering tools or programming languages
Desired Skills:
-Familiarity with Agile processes
-Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. C++, Python, Java)
-Strong academic performance
-Strong analytical and probblem-solving skills with the capacity to work on interdisciplinary project

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
