Job Summary

The eCommerce 360 Product Photographer is a critical position that supports our business as we rapidly expand the quantity and types of media to support the e-commerce efforts of our distribution network. They should have a passion for photography, organization, and attention to detail. They will execute all eCommerce product photography as well as some post-production work. They must be able to quickly learn and develop new/better approaches to support/hang various uniquely shaped products in our 360 photo booth. The eCommerce 360 Product Photographer must become an expert with our internal equipment and keep apprised of the current standards required from our distributors.


Required Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of photography experience in a studio environment. eCommerce experience is an asset.
  • Proven experience using DSLR cameras (Proficient in Canon 5D Mark IV) and comprehensive lighting equipment.
  • Familiarity with OrbitVu 360 photobooth software is an asset.
  • Skilled in Photoshop CC with a focus on retouching.
  • Self-starter with superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, most importantly in Excel, for cross-referencing various spreadsheets and lists accurately and efficiently.
  • Fluency, or the ability to quickly learn abrasive product terminology and details for an extensive product portfolio.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and can work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Eagerness and drive to keep up with new technologies and training to improve upon processes for efficiency.

Additional Description

The eCommerce 360 Product Photographer will be responsible for executing, editing/retouching, storage, and movement of all 360 product photography within our systems. They will coordinate with site personnel on the logistics of receiving/returning goods to and from inventory, verify all images' masking/image quality, and transfer images to the appropriate location. They must be a self-motivator, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality when required. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks without direct supervision.

Moving up to 50 pounds may be expected.

Photography Execution - 75%

  • Retrieves and organizes a large volume of products.
  • Prepare product for photo-Carefully remove the product from its packaging, ensuring items can be returned to inventory when possible.
  • Assess the readiness of the product for photography - Evaluate product labels for current logos/graphics.
  • Efficiently photograph our full listing of stock parts for various business units.
  • Group like items together for efficiency, reducing set-up time.
  • Initiate continuous improvements to find better support/hanging solutions for the different shaped products.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Communicate with team members should questions arise with current products in the queue.
  • Ensures timely delivery of photographs according to launch schedules and distributor requests.
  • Maintains and adheres to our comprehensive naming conventions and terminologies.

Post-Production - 25%

  • Executes image masking/post-production using OrbitVu software.
  • Upkeep and maintain studio/booth cleanliness and organization.
