The Community Duke Health Integrated Practice seeks a dynamic pathologist with excellent surgical pathology skills for a full-time position in the Community Pathology Division at Duke Raleigh Hospital. The Community Pathology practice is comprised of seven pathologists dedicated to delivering accurate, concise, and timely pathology services to patients and their physicians.

Opportunity:

• This position is based at Duke Raleigh Hospital, a campus of Duke University Hospital located in Raleigh, North Carolina.
• Duke Raleigh Hospital, with 204 inpatient beds, offers a comprehensive array of services and is recognized as a community leader for compassionate care with distinct centers of clinical excellence, including oncology, providing an intellectually challenging and collegial work environment.
• There is opportunity for teaching/resident education as well as collaboration with the predominantly subspecialty-based pathology faculty at the main Duke campus.
• The community practice also provides pathology services at Duke Regional Hospital, a 388-bed acute care hospital serving Durham, Orange, and surrounding counties.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have a MD or DO degree, a valid NC medical license or qualifications to obtain one, and ABP Board Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
• Ideal candidates will be excellent diagnosticians with superior communication skills who function well in a team setting.
• Demonstrated experience and/or additional training in areas of oncologic surgical pathology, specifically breast and gynecologic pathology, and/or subspecialty fellowship training in cytopathology is preferred.
