The Director of Front Office reports directly to the Resort Manager, overseeing the complete arrival, stay, and departure experience of our guests. This individual acts as a liaison, maintaining open and effective communication between Miraval guests, Guest Relations staff and all related departments.

Duties include:
· Responsible for short and long term planning and the management of the hotel’s Front Office operations
· Develop and recommend the budget, labor cost plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans
· Analyze, investigate, and resolve guest concerns
· Maintain guest room inventory
· Manages transportation process from pre-arrival to departure
· Coach and counsel colleagues to reflect adherence to Miraval’s Service Standards and Procedures
· Perform all tasks of a Front Office Staff as needed to facilitate service
· Ensure all operations and cash handling are done per policies and procedures
· Create expectations, lead people, manage processes, and hold people accountable for the agreed upon activities and time tables
· Collaborates with Human Resources to establish appropriate staffing models and oversees hiring of all Front Office and Guest Services team members
· Represent department in meetings with senior leadership to speak to any and all performance metrics related to their area

Qualifications
Qualifications – External
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications/attributes:
· 4 years or more of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience (typically with Hyatt)
· Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
· This individual will command their area and proactively manage the arrival process – always forward-looking, organized, and orchestrating the operation from a high level
· Service-oriented style with professional presentations skills on par with a luxury wellness resort
· Proven success in collaborating with colleagues of all levels, across departments
· Must possess the following strengths: high-energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator and an authentic passion for taking care of others
· Basic knowledge of financial processes
· Excellent organizational and administrative skills
· Highly effective written and verbal communication skills in English
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
· Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
Previous resort experience and a passion for wellbeing is a plus
