The Marketing Director is responsible for leading the definition, design, execution, and measurement of brand strategy across both HCP and Consumer segments. This role requires working across all customer segments and partnering effectively with Brand and Portfolio peers/teams, Sales, Commercial Operations, and Managed Markets teams. The Director will work closely with the Brand Insight Director on planning all insight work, including primary and secondary research, database management, and ROI measurements. This position will align a diverse team around a clear vision and purpose while leading, inspiring, developing, and motivating the team to achieve individual and organizational objectives successfully.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop go-to-market plan for new indication and ensure strategically aligned initiatives to drive the brand imperatives
  • Lead the development and execution of coordinated channel marketing and media plans
  • Partner with Business Insights and Market Research Team to develop and implement key insight plan, define success metrics, and analyze performance on an ongoing basis with a keen eye to optimization
  • Partner with sales team to drive growth of in-line business
  • Develop, implement, and monitor launch critical metrics
  • Lead multiple program budgets, timelines, processes, and procedures
  • Lead partner agency relationships, workflow, and related expense budgets

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; preferably in business, marketing or the sciences
  • 8 years of Pharmaceutical or Healthcare experience; preferably in brand marketing, market access, market research/analytics or strategic planning
  • 4 years of US Pharmaceutical Marketing and Promotions experience
  • Successful delivery of strategic and operational plans within a therapeutic or business area
  • Proven experience in working within cross-functional business units essential
  • Strong financial foresight with the ability to assess and get results
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to optimally lead through ambiguity
  • Successful experience leading change transformation
  • Proven learning agility

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Advanced Degree in business, marketing, or the sciences
  • Experience in both Consumer Marketing & HCP Marketing
  • Experience in Insight/Market Research
  • Experience across product life cycle (emerging, launch, in-line, mature)
  • Experience related to therapeutic area (vaccines / infectious diseases)
  • Experience across multiple promotional channels (Personal, Non-Personal and Digital, Patient marketing)
  • Pharmacy (retail) marketing experience
  • Development of digital customer experiences and/or e-commerce
