Mosaic Biosciences (MBNA), a subsidiary of Mosaic, is seeking a highly motivated leader to join as the Director, Business Development *& Licensing. This role is responsible for the overall business plan and financials’ for LATAM (Mexico, Central America Argentina, Chile) and Europe, which will be in alignment with the MBNA business plan, strategies, and objectives. This position is responsible for leadership and collaboration with key stakeholders to successfully achieve revenue and gross profit contribution targets. Cross collaboration includes working with Mosaic fertilizer commercial leaders, marketing, supply chain/operations, agronomy, regulatory, finance and HR and R&D.
What will you do?
Identify new partners and opportunities for MBNA product platforms.
Build and present customers with “win-win” business propositions.
Plan and execute multi-million dollar and multi-year commercial agreements with new/existing partners.
Successfully implement new collaboration models with new/key customers.
Provide all the financial and business analysis associated with the deal flow.
Develop a strategic roadmap and a comprehensive business plan for LATAM (Mexico, Central America, Argentina & Chile) and Europe
Analyze commercial opportunity for Mosaic Bioscience current and pipeline products across the agriculture value chain.
Define framework and value capture for current and future commercial collaborations and partnership models.
Plan and execute a stage-gate approach to commercial activities, including KPIs.
Develop and leverage a broad industry network, both internally and externally to access new opportunities, collaborators, and potential key customers.
Access and develop deep and detailed knowledge of customers' needs and provide proactive solutions.
Provide leadership and credibility to existing partnerships and represent MBNA effectively to the industry.
Attend relevant industry associations, conferences, and customer events to develop new relationships.
Work cross functionally and build strong internal collaborations to enable success.
What do you need for this role?
Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred)
10 years of experience in ag business. Experience in business to business, 3rd party licensing, and business planning.
Strong business acumen and business development experience.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple diverse tasks and deliverables within one or more projects.
Strong sense of urgency to move key initiatives along while paying attention to details in execution.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate with middle to senior/executive management.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written; thinks and openly communicates with all levels of the organization.
Have a high degree of personal and professional integrity, including being a self-starter, the ability to acknowledge mistakes and take ownership of results.
Experience with value added products and proven as a sales leader preferred.
Travel: 40% - 50%
