GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

You will manage two annual giving programs, the Corporate Patron Program and the Real Estate Council, and produce two annual events, the Spring Gala and Real Estate Council Benefit. You will supervise a team that is responsible for preparing renewals and acknowledgement letters, processing contributions, tracking renewals, and overall service of Corporate Patron and Real Estate Council members. You are a key member of an 8-member team charged with raising approximately $20 million annually from corporate donors.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Manage two annual corporate member giving programs: the Corporate Patron Program and the Real Estate Council, with annual revenue of $2-3 million.

  • Identify and solicit new corporate members and increase contributions from current members.

  • Manage two annual fundraising events: the Spring Gala and the Real Estate Council Benefit, with approximate annual revenue of $4 million.

  • Collaborate with the Development Events team, Office of Special Events, Membership and Education Departments on all corporate events held at the Museum and attend regular interdepartmental event meetings.

  • Respond to all entertaining inquiries from corporate prospects, members and special exhibition sponsors, i.e., for large and small scale events, after hours and daytime tours, meetings, breakfasts and luncheons

  • Manage and report on corporate in-kind gifts across the museum.

  • Track income and expenses and update financial records.

  • Review of entertaining budgets and contracts and the preparation of the final version of contracts for signature

  • Supervise one Development Associate and one Development Assistant who maintain the day-to-day operation of the program, including membership renewals, gift postings, written acknowledgements, member lists, mailings, grant proposals and solicitation materials, monthly income reports, free admission list, Annual Report donor lists, etc.

  • Performs other related duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience

  • 7 years professional fundraising and events experience

  • Demonstrated experience exercising judgment, confidentiality, and diplomacy with donors

  • Detail oriented and the ability to multi-task

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

  • Familiarity with a donor management database such as Tessitura or Raiser's Edge.

  • Excellent administrative skills including general office procedures and business protocols

  • Ability to work independently, handle a large volume of detailed work simultaneously, and use good judgment in prioritizing work.

COMPENSATION RANGE:

  • Pay Range : $85,000 - $90,000 / Annually

The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, special licensing or qualifications, and other factors.
