BAE Systems is seeking Data Engineers to support our government customer.
These Data Engineers will be working in a classified environment and will design, implement, and operate data management systems for intelligence needs, designing how data will be stored, accessed, used, integrated, and managed by different data regimes and digital systems. Responsibilities will include:
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

BAE Systems is seeking Data Engineers to support our government customer.
These Data Engineers will be working in a classified environment and will design, implement, and operate data management systems for intelligence needs, designing how data will be stored, accessed, used, integrated, and managed by different data regimes and digital systems. Responsibilities will include:
- Designs, Implements, and Operates data management systems for Intelligence needs; Designs how data will be stored, accessed, used, integrated, and managed by different data regimes and managed for PAI/CAI
- Support the identification, prioritization, and scheduling of data modeling and processing requirements with users
- Report the status of all data extraction, transformation, and, and load activities
- Re-construct data provided in XML, delimited text, email (e.g. eml, mbox, pst), and a variety of database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Apply semantic data modeling techniques to classify, aggregate, and generalize data stored in hierarchical, network, or relational database management systems to define the meaning of data within the context of its interrelationships with other data.
- Validate semantic data models with users
- Transform semantic data models into physical database designs
- Design physical database management systems to represent semantic data models, including relational and object-relational databases (e.g. Postgress, SQL Server, MySQL), Key value stores, Inverted Indexes (Lucene, Elastic Search), and distributed file systems (e.g. Tachyon, HDFS)
- Knowledgeable of and demonstrates ability to apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
- Mid-level: Bachelor's degree in a related computer science area with 8+ years of data engineering experience with related experience within the last 2 years, or 10+ years of experience
- Senior: Master's degree in a related computer science area with 12+ years of data engineering experience with related experience within the last 2 years, or a Bachelor's degree with 17+ years of experience
- Prior military or government analytical experience
- Graduate of Government OSINT Training courses (e.g., U.S. Army OBC, OS301/OS302, CASO, defense or IC equivalent (DIA BOTC, FBI OS101).
- Experience conducting intelligence analytical support for the IC/DoD
