Title: Data Center Technician / IT Facilities Technician

Location: Boardman, OR

Pay: $20/hr to $23/hr

Duration: 6 Months

About the Role:

• We are seeking a Data Center Technician to join our team at a leading technology company.
• The role involves ensuring overall availability and reliability of data center operations to meet defined service levels.
• This position may require participation in a primary responder rotation, monitoring infrastructure, coordinating response to incidents, and partnering with other teams to resolve issues impacting service availability.
• The role may involve evening, weekend, holiday, and night work to ensure global data centers operate reliably.
• Candidates should be able to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize tasks, communicate effectively, and react quickly to issues.
• Travel within and outside the regional work area is required, so a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license are necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Perform server rack installations, hardware break-fix, troubleshoot network issues, and respond to operational incidents
• Participate in on-call duties, scheduled maintenance, and change management activities
• Assist in training and onboarding new team members
• Lift and move equipment up to 35 pounds, and participate in group lifts for heavier items
• Work in a 24/7 environment, participate in primary responder rotation, and provide after-hours support as needed
• Work in cramped, elevated, and noisy environments
• Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day
• Safely ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways

Education Qualification:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Technical certifications or relevant experience preferred

Required Skills:

• Experience with server rack installations and hardware break-fix
• Knowledge of troubleshooting network issues
• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment and participate in on-call duties
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to lift and move equipment as required
