Job Description:

Apex Systems has an exciting Reporting & Analytics Analyst opportunity for our client, one of worlds largest grocery retailers! Ideal candidates will have experience with MS Office, Power BI, SAP, Jira, Data Bricks, Power Apps, and Power Automate. In this role, you will be responsible for reporting definitions and implementation requirements, analyzing data/report requirements, monitoring data quality, defining business terms, assisting of and building out Power BI reporting and dashboards for consumptions for all levels of the business, and assisting in cataloging data reporting elements.

**Finance/Accounting background is preferred.**

Length: 6 Month Contract to Hire

Hourly Rate: $55-$60/hr W-2

Salary Expectations: $100k-$110k/yr

Responsibilities:

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work with Reporting & Analytics and Governance teams.
• Engage with Brands, Finance, and Non-Finance teams.
• Support various companies and teams.
• Collaborate with IT squads and teams.
• Interact with internal and external customers.

• Teamwork and Meetings:
• Collaborate and respect all teams.
• Attend required meetings, including team and project meetings.
• Schedule and follow up on meetings as needed.

• Decision-Making and Problem-Solving:
• Make well-thought-out decisions on complex or ambiguous issues.
• Research and solve problems that arise.

• Compliance and Data Management:
• Work within the guidelines of the company’s finance values and mission.
• Collaborate with governance groups to oversee compliance and data management.
• Drive the overall finance roadmap.
• Contribute to major projects and functional initiatives.
• Lead education and training related to data and reporting management.
• Drive system implementation and data/reporting management.

• Communication:
• Maintain effective internal and external communications.

Skills and Expertise:

• Software Knowledge:
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• PowerBI
• SAP S/4
• SAP BPC
• Jira
• Data Bricks
• Power Apps
• Power Automate

• Understanding of:
• Accounting terminology and processes (GL/AP/AR/Cash Sales/Inventory)
• Financial reporting (P&Ls, Income statements, Balance Sheets, etc.)
• Retail business (Operations/Stores, Merchandising, D&T)
• Azure/FionA
• Data life cycle (from source to reporting)

General Tasks:

• Define and implement reporting requirements.
• Analyze data/report requirements.
• Monitor data quality.
• Assist in cataloging data reporting elements.
• Define business terms.
• Build and assist in Power BI reporting and dashboards for all business levels.
• Perform other general tasks as needed.

Timelines:

• Completion timelines for tasks will be set and agreed upon by the manager and associate based on project priorities. These timelines will fluctuate based on business needs.
