Role Overview:
The Nautilus Group is a service organization that supports over 200 of NewYork Life's top producers. The ideal candidate will have, at a minimum, five to tenyears of experience in the areas of estate planning, business planning,charitable planning, asset protection planning, and income tax planning.

What You'll Do:

• Member Agent Support - Develop relationships with member agents. Work closely with member agents to develop estate and business strategiesfor high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients and integrate New YorkLife products, where applicable. Help member agents target specificmarkets, including high net worth, business, and cultural markets. Provideongoing education to member agents. Some travel may be required to assistmember agents with client meetings.

• Estate and Business Planning Case Design - Create customized and salesfocused estate planning cases that specifically address a client's planningneeds. Assist other members of the Case Development Team as theydevelop estate and business planning cases to ensure that all team membersare providing the highest level of technical support. Utilize New York Lifeproducts to illustrate benefits of various non-qualified retirement planningstrategies.

• Meeting Presentations - Present on the technical aspects of estate andbusiness planning during various company and/or industry meetings as wellas member agent seminars. Create ongoing Webinars to highlight companyinitiatives and to keep member agents updated on tax law.

• Special Projects -
  • Assist with content development by creating new educational pieces formember agents (white papers, agent newsletters, website content, industryarticles, etc.);
  • Take a leadership role in implementing new initiatives (opportunitiesresulting from changing laws, integration of new company products, contentdevelopment around core offerings, etc.); and
  • Monthly training of Nautilus staff members.

What You'll Bring:

• Minimum of 5 - 10 years' experience working inthe advanced market. Possess a detailed understanding ofestate and gift transfer tax planning, business planning, qualified and nonqualified
  retirement planning, charitable planning, and income tax planning.
• Juris Doctor required. CPA or LLM preferred.
• Experience presenting complicated advancedplanning techniques to other advisors and to clients and should haveexperience engaging parties to implement suggested strategies.
• Detailed knowledge of life insurance products, life insurancetaxation, life insurance funding (e.g., split dollar, premium financing) andhow to utilize life insurance for a high-net-worth individual's business andestate planning needs.
• Requires detailed knowledge of annuity products, annuity taxation, andhow to utilize annuities for a high-net-worth individual's retirement and estateplanning needs.
• Experience integrating financial planning conceptsand estate and business planning strategies to develop a comprehensive planfor high-net-worth clients and business owners.
• Abilityto utilize excel to create financial models toillustrate various planning strategies.
• Abilityto serve as a technical expert in the Case Developmentteam and should be a high performer in terms of productivity and memberagent relations.
• Ability to work independently with little to no technicalguidance from management or other members of the Case Developmentteam.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:$107,500 - $182,500

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
