Your Role:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Communications Coordinator to join our Corporate Communications and Public Affairs team, which manages communications that extend to a broad array of stakeholders including employees, agents, agencies, media and the public. The ideal candidate will assist in various communication activities including content creation, media relations, and internal communications. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in communications and gain experience in a dynamic working environment.

Your Work:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of communication tactics to support the organization’s goals including employee communications, agent communications and public relations.

  • Write and edit content such as intranet articles, interview briefing materials, press releases, blogs, award submissions, newsletters, and consumer-facing articles.

  • Provide ongoing social media support through content creation, campaigns, metrics and monitoring of trends.

  • Coordinate approval processes.

  • Manage content and editorial calendars.

  • Maintain and update distribution lists.

  • Help ensure content on our intranet platform is current.

  • Assist with issuing alerts to agents, which sometimes are needed outside typical business hours.

  • Track results, identify trends and interpret data for various communications, including a monthly view of external visibility.

  • Help organize and execute events, campaigns, and public relations efforts.

  • Support product launches.

  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve processes and deliver best-in-class communications.

  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure consistency in the organization’s messages across various messengers and platforms.

  • Assist in crisis management and proactive communications strategies.

  • Actively shapes our company culture (e.g., participating in employee resource groups, volunteering, etc.).

  • Lives into cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: helping onboard new team members, building relationships, etc.).

  • Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time, helping other teams, etc.

Required Experience, Education and Skills:

  • Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field or equivalent experience.

  • A minimum of one year of related work experience.

  • Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills.

What would make us excited about you?

  • Spanish fluency with writing and speaking a plus.

  • Experience with paid social media campaigns a plus.

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage projects independently.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with a wide variety of colleagues, stakeholders, and external agencies.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.

  • Demonstrated sense of curiosity and enthusiastically tackle new projects with a desire to continuously learn.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

  • Flexible schedule to support communication needs or events that may fall outside routine business hours (nights and weekends).

  • Travels as needed for role, including divisional / team meetings and other in-person meetings.

The national average hourly pay rate range for this position is $32.76-$36.40 per hour. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full hourly rate range for this position across all the states we hire in is $29.51-$43.61 per hour. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 7% of eligible pay.
