Enterprise IT (EIT) is an essential component of the current IT division that provides support to the Pharmaceutical Research and Development (R&D), Supply Chain (Manufacturing), Marketing (Human Health) organizations as well as Enabling Functions. The EIT SAP Platform Team is responsible for our company's SAP Global Template asset, delivering enterprise-level capabilities through harmonized business processes and data. The team is responsible for the operation of all our company's SAP and integrated solutions, governance of the associated enterprise assets, and cost-effective delivery of capabilities to support achievement of immediate and future state business objectives.
The Cloud Project Manager will play a critical role in driving releases within our global environment as well as leading the planning, coordination, and execution. The Cloud Project Manager will ensure adherence to all required change management processes. The successful candidate should be familiar with processes and tools used to support, maintain, and change the SAP Platform. They must possess an understanding of SAP's platforms, products, and offering as well as have a technical background, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to work independently on high-profile tasks.
Primary job responsibilities include:
Plan, schedule, and coordinate global releases, with Platform teams, Value teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders to oversee build implementation for multiple environments ensuring a reliable solution meeting necessary quality standards.
Manage upgrade projects (using Agile / SCRUM), edge-to-edge, for implemented Cloud systems, leveraging a team of technical upgrade specialists and development resources, as needed.
Plan and facilitate the application of annual platform support packs and infrastructure upgrades / patching, in Cloud landscapes, to SAP systems during maintenance windows.
Establishing and implementing technical project methodologies and processes within work teams relating to SAP solution installations and migrations using Cloud technologies
Schedule and execute project meetings, maintain project life-cycle documentation as well as any tactical and strategic project tracking systems, primarily using Atlassian Confluence, Jira.
Utilize tools such as MS Office Suite, MS Project, MS Excel, Atlassian JIRA, and Atlassian Confluence for project planning, tracking, reporting and documentation.
Support testing efforts (Unit, Integration, Acceptance, Volume, Performance, Regression) by the various solutioning teams for each release.
Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Business Go/No-Go reviews, and Milestone Reviews for each release.
Participate, as necessary, in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and other governance bodies to discuss release scope, roadblocks, and obtain necessary approvals (CAB is responsible for reviewing and approving changes to the IT environment)
Use appropriate change management processes to manage additions or updates regarding project scope, schedule, and costs.
Perform release retrospectives and identify potential improvements.
Establish global SAP release schedule, accounting for strategic project deliverables, working with teams to establish project delivery milestones, and oversee the review of deliverables to ensure they meet acceptance criteria, securing sign-off on each deliverable as defined in the project management plan.
Defines, tracks, and communicates project milestones.
Manage relationship with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and issues to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables.
Evaluate complex situations accurately and identify viable solutions that create successful outcome for the business areas.
We are seeking professionals with the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
Education Level:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related discipline
Required Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of Life Sciences Industry experience in a role as a program manager / solution architect / enterprise architect / business analyst
Minimum of 3 years proven working experience in Project Management of large IT projects.
Proven experience in using popular project management tools such as Asana, Trello, Kanban boards, etc. (Microsoft Project, Atlassian JIRA, Atlassian Confluence)
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Ability to draw up detailed project plans and schedules.
Experience with modern cloud concepts such as SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS and related solutions.
Strong knowledge of cloud technologies and platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Solid organizational skills including ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills over a wide range of audiences and mediums (written, verbal, presentation)
Exhibit excellent problem solving and data analysis skills as well as a proven ability to work independently.
Preferred Skills:
PMP certification desirable (Safe, Lean, etc.)
Agile Scrum Master certified (Preferred)
3+ years of IT business solutions deployment experience (SAP experience preferred)
3+ years working with SAP Migrations
2+ years working with SAP S/4 HANA preferred.
1+ years working with Cloud high-availability failover capabilities.
1+ years working with Zero downtime maintenance.
Domain knowledge of SAP/Rise desired
Experience with managing SAP HANA implementations is a plus.
Understanding of SAP tools, such as SAP Change Request Management (Charm) or AWS EC2, is desirable, enabling efficient change management and infrastructure management respectively.
Experience testing with Xray.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. Expected US salary range:
