Position Summary
Under the direction of the Manager, Operations Systems Services, the Business Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the software applications that support various business functions within the Management and Operations Division. The Business Systems Administrator will support business teams and provide technical expertise for division technology assets. The position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of business systems and maximizing their application, efficiency and effectiveness. This role serves as a key conduit for communication between business teams and IT teams.

Supervisory: Reports to Manager, Operations Systems Service
Organizational: Frequent contact with Operations Optimization Staff, Management & Operations Business Units, MAC IT Airport Systems, and Airport Development teams
External: Frequent contact with tenants, vendors, contractors, and MAC consultants
JOB DUTIES
- Support a portfolio of business applications by advising on configuration and set-up of systems to help optimize business operations with a focus on efficiency, participating in the design, testing and maintenance of reports, and maintaining system configuration and updating when appropriate.
- Support business application delivery by creating and maintaining functional and business requirements, system configuration documents, operating procedures, standards manuals, and implementation documents, interfacing with Business Analysts and Training Manager to design and provide formal and informal training, performing pre or post-implementation testing of any system or related system function or process, and communicating with IT for system configuration, user acceptance testing and test case activities.
- Support future business needs and desires by piloting new technology, hardware, software applications and connectivity methods with IT to test if products will meet identified business objectives.
- Assists in monitoring and troubleshooting system issues while identifying and resolving technical problems in a timely manner to minimize disruptions and downtime.
- Represent the division, where assigned, for business interests on enterprise-wide technology initiatives and enterprise-wide teams addressing technology and facility related business process improvements.
- Identifies and develops measurement tools and key performance indicators, supplies key data for supporting Business Intelligence (BI) reporting to depict operational status against these key performance indicators.
- Assists in creating and maintaining system documentation.
- Assists in providing metrics on system usage and resources.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Airport Management, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience
- In lieu of a degree, 4 years of experience in Project Management, Computer Science, Airport Management, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience
- Direct experience working with a department or enterprise-wide information system.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in providing excellent customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to learn and self-teach new technologies.
- Solid interpersonal skills, technically curious and self-motivated.
- Intermediate skill level and experience with O365 products.
- Valid driver's license
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in airport operations, specifically related to Part 139 operational requirements/workflows.
- Experience working at a large hub airport.
- Experience writing technical documentation.
- Excellent customer service skills with strong troubleshooting, research, and analysis skills.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical information to the end users in an easily understood manner.
- Reliable vehicle to commute between job sites.
