Position Overview
The Business System Analyst II will serve as the primary systems manager for a designated set of platforms within our Digital Strategy division. This role involves conducting needs assessments and cost/benefit analyses to align technology with business strategies, while working closely with internal stakeholders to optimize business and end-user value.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for new features, systems, and enhancements
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure system solutions meet business requirements
- Interface with decision-makers, system owners, and end users to identify business, financial, and operational requirements
- Present new systems/applications to Application and Architecture Review Board
- Lead design sessions and prototype new functionality to enhance business processes
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including data flow diagrams and workflows
- Conduct systems analysis focusing on gap identification
- Optimize systems and operational workflows
- Establish control points in new systems designs
- Review existing systems’ effectiveness and develop improvement strategies
- Ensure proper support structure and documentation prior to production deployment
- Perform troubleshooting and incident management
- Present changes to Change Control Board
- Lead system and unit testing efforts
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or Management Information Systems (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Strong IT background with understanding of banking operations and processes
- Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Proven research capabilities for systems issues and products
- Ability to communicate technical concepts in user-friendly language
- Strong critical thinking and process engineering skills
- Experience with workflow analysis and task prioritization
- Track record of working in collaborative, customer-centric environments
- Knowledge of corporate security policies and user access management

This position requires working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $60 to $65/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
