About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Accountability Specialist within Consumer, Small & Business Banking (CSBB) to join the Privacy Program team, which helps oversee and mitigate privacy risk across the business group.

The Business Accountability Specialist role will be responsible for supporting the privacy team in completing required privacy reviews, assessments, and other deliverables. This role will also require maintaining effective touch base routines with key stakeholders and assist with the timely completion of deliverables.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a business-facing privacy risk consultant, providing subject matter expertise on various state, federal, and international privacy laws, and regulations
  • Support CSBB businesses in the proper completion of a variety of privacy risk assessments associated with Privacy by Design initiatives (PIA, DPIA, TIA, LIA, etc.)
  • Advise and assist CSBB business in developing and implementing procedures and controls to effectively operationalize privacy requirements to mitigate risk
  • Collaborate and consult with immediate colleagues and cross functional business partners
  • Present findings and recommendations, including rationale, to facilitate resolution of identified concerns; exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the risk mitigation or control activities of the business

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of financial services experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of privacy laws and regulations impacting the financial services industry, including: GLBA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, etc.
  • Experience with the Privacy by Design framework, including performing privacy risk assessments (PIA, DPIA, TIA, LIA, etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important; ability to influence
  • Experience owning a process, procedures, and/or controls including maturing to process excellence
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills and familiarity with performing data analytics (e.g., Tableau, etc.)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Industry standard privacy certifications (i.e., CIPM, CIPT, etc.) preferred, but not required

Job Expectations:

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$63,600.00 - $113,000.00
