Purpose: I assist the Analytics team in their day-to-day duties as it relates to servicing the internal team and external client. I am an internal resource for various activities and assist with the production of client presentations, carrier negotiations, and communication as an extension of the Sr. Financial Analyst, Benefits. I contribute to the team by providing input and contribution to tasks and projects. I report to the Director of Analytics.

Responsibility:

  • Assist the Sr. Financial Analyst, Benefits with developing and creating presentations of reporting and plan details to customers during mid-year and renewal meetings, as well as ad-hoc needs throughout the year
  • Being familiar with multiple client benefit plans and carrier reporting sites
  • Understanding laws and regulations that govern plans
  • Managing requests for proposal process from delivery to carriers to final presentation for customer
  • Evaluating carrier requests, benefit plan reviews, and presentation materials
  • Ensuring proper pricing and commission levels are met based upon the guidance of the Advisor(s) and Account Executive(s)
  • Collecting and analyzing health care data for reporting needs
  • Completing special client projects involving data analysis, including surveys, insured and self-funded pools, and other similar arrangements
  • Providing ongoing communication to the Analytics team to ensure efficient workflow
  • Participating in internal team meetings; sharing knowledge and experience with teams to aid in the growth and development of teammates and FirstPerson
  • Ownership, in part with the team, for the client analytics workbook and completing an annual review on the evaluation and development of customer presentations
  • Participating in projects and discussions related to the Advisory, Analytics, and Client Operations services
  • Ensuring benefit plans are updated and accurate in the Agency System
  • Preparing and delivering upon client project timelines
  • Technical problem solving; Preparing/building reports which require analysis and testing before communication and adoption
  • Updating agency systems, incumbent checklist, Salesforce group client information, contacts, and reports
  • Printing/binding customer presentations which includes ad-hoc printing requests
  • Maintaining inventory of binder supplies

  • Operating Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis in Excel

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, or a related major (required)
  • Zero to three years of related experience within a professional services company or related field (preferred)
  • Account management or project/team leadership experience (preferred)
  • Health and Life Producer license (preferred)

Physical and Mental Performance: 

  • Performing work with attention to detail in a fast-paced office environment
  • Interacting with others in person, via phone, and through email
  • Speaking and listening well
  • Utilizing technology, (i.e., computer, printer, business software, and phone)
  • Being sensitive to FirstPerson’s needs, employee goodwill, and public image
  • Occasionally reaching, pushing, and lifting (up to 10 pounds)
  • Sitting for long periods of time
