As an Associate Manager on our Category Leadership team for Walmart, you will help lead category growth platform development by providing category programs and plans to field sales for a portfolio of our brands. You will report to the Vice President of Category Leadership.
Your Impact:
- Provide category analysis and business impacts to the sales team, identifying opportunities to enhance customer/category goals and those of the company
- Customize existing corporate category initiatives and plans to propel company and category sales at the customer
- Help deliver category insights to develop collaborative solutions
- Assist team to exceed established shelving and merchandising goals
- Provide category and shopper insights to the account in your assigned categories.
- Work with internal partners and retailer contacts to develop and help implement category growth plans
- Propose planograms to support shelving standards across assigned categories
- Collaborate with the sales team in developing modular objectives and strategies, develop proposals for distribution and shelving changes to the customer.
- Ensure category objectives are delivered
Your Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree required; or Master's Degree
- 1-2+ years of consumer-packaged goods (CPG) related experience in sales or analytical roles. Category leadership experience preferred.
- Data integration and interpretation experience
- Experience summarizing a holistic sales story from multiple sources of data, such as syndicated, loyalty, consumer and industry trends
- An understanding of syndicated panel data fundamentals
- Experience working directly with customers in growing category sales
- Experience with Nielsen/IRI, Retail Link; experience with space management tools helpful but not required.
- Experience in Excel to develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and automate processes
