Job Description
Reporting to the Manager Information Security, the Associate Information Security Analyst is an important role that helps to provide assurance for Conagra's critical assets and securely enable departments. You will support the business as a cybersecurity subject matter expert in different functions, primarily as a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst conducting several level of incident response activities from initial evaluation, incident investigations, threat hunting, detection engineering, and various assigned cybersecurity programs. You will report to Cyber Security Operations leadership and work with senior Cybersecurity staff and IT technical and business personnel across the company. 2+ years related experience
You Will:
* The SOC Analyst focuses on protecting the system by monitoring security alerts (SOAR, SIEM, EDR, etc), investigating for potential incidents, and collaborating with teams to resolve them
* This includes analyzing events, prioritizing threats, and taking action following industry frameworks (containment, eradication, recovery)
* You will also maintain security tools, report on activity, and educate staff on cybersecurity best practices
* Monitor security alerts and events from various tools, sources, and services to conduct in-depth analysis, and identify root cause of incidents
* Experienced at investigating and triaging security alerts to determine the scope, impact, and severity of threats while documenting case artifacts
* Also responsible for developing, documenting, and maintaining standard operating procedure and playbooks for incident detection, response, and escalation
* Identify and mitigate emerging threats through cyber threat intelligence gathering and threat hunting activities
* Perform analysis of collected data using specialized tools to detect and track intrusions on affected assets such as malware analysis in isolated sandbox environments
* Proficient in using various security tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and threat intelligence platforms
* Provide timely and accurate reports on security activities, trends, and metrics to leadership and stakeholders
* Commit to staying current with industry trends, emerging threats, and security technologies to improve SOC capabilities
You Have:
* Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, MIS, or Information Technology, or similar STEM degree (desired)
* 2+ years in IT or cybersecurity with relevant experience
* Certifications such as GCIH, CEH, Security+, CySA+, etc. (desired) * Have scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, and/or Bash (desired) * Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and frameworks such as Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK.
* Ability to communicate with all levels of audiences.
* Ability to travel up to 10%
