Join Our Team as an Arts Program Assistant!
Are you passionate about arts, youth development, and having fun while making a difference? If you love inspiring creativity in young minds and believe in the power of the arts to shape the future, this is the opportunity for you!

What You’ll Do: As an Arts Program Assistant at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, you’ll be a key part of planning and running exciting arts programs for youth ages 6-18. From visual and performing arts to culinary and literary adventures, you’ll help create a vibrant space for creativity and self-expression.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and assisting in a variety of arts programming such as visual, performing, culinary, and literary arts.
  • Organizing fun trips, events, and special activities for youth.
  • Maintaining a positive, inclusive, and safe environment throughout the program.
  • Collaborating with other departments and clubs to create exciting, cross-functional events.
  • Helping assess and improve the impact of our programs through regular evaluation.
  • Supporting and mentoring youth to develop their creative skills, while providing guidance and discipline when necessary.

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience in leading youth arts programs—whether visual, performing, culinary, or literary.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for working with diverse youth and families.
  • CPR/FA certification (or willingness to obtain it).
  • A team player who is flexible, creative, and eager to have fun while making a difference.

Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Mon-Fri 2:30p-7:30p
Compensation: Pay Range Depending on Relevant Experience & Internal Equity.
