Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-Level Enterprise Monitoring Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive monitoring infrastructure to ensure the availability, performance, and security of our enterprise systems and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in monitoring technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Full-Time Salary Range: $75510 - $128340
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement monitoring solutions using various tools and technologies, such as Nagios, Solarwinds, Splunk Enterprise, DataDog or equivalent Application Performance Monitoring tools.
- Configure and maintain monitoring infrastructure, including servers, networks, and applications.
- Develop and maintain custom monitoring scripts and plugins to monitor specific systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve monitoring-related issues, including alert fatigue, false positives, and performance degradation.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate monitoring solutions with new applications and services.
- Conduct regular monitoring system checks and maintenance tasks, including backups, upgrades, and patches.
- Analyze monitoring data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain documentation for monitoring procedures, configurations, and best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24/7 support for critical monitoring issues.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in monitoring and IT operations, with a focus on enterprise-level monitoring.
- Strong understanding of monitoring technologies, including Nagios, Solarwinds, Splunk Enterprise, DataDog or equivalent Application Performance Monitoring tools.
- Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, Bash, or Perl.
- Customer-focused acumen and skillsets
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git.
- Certification in a monitoring technology or IT operations, such as Nagios or ITIL, is a plus.
- Leading improvement projects and/or experience with legacy monitoring solutions and projects to replace or upgrade tools in the environment.
- Experience with cloud-based monitoring solutions, such as AWS CloudWatch or Azure Monitor.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins and Ansible.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
