Job Description
The Analyst, Bank Loan Administration is responsible for the bank loan trade lifecycle post trade execution for our SEIX, Newfleet and Westchester affiliates. This includes tracking unsettled trades and prioritizing for settlement, facilitating trade matching with the brokers and remediation of all fails, and ensuring all settled trades are delivered to the custodian and processed in all internal systems. This role is also responsible for income and principal processing and reconciliation of loan payments.
Primary Job Duties:
Loan Trade Operations
- Perform tasks related to all aspects of loan trades from the time the trade is posted until settlement
- Maintain and track all unsettled loan trades
- Prioritize trades for closing
- Send trade allocations to ClearPar as the brokers post the master tickets; all fails to be researched, reprocessed, or manually allocated
- Follow up with the brokers via ClearPar timelines on unsettled trades
- Verify that settling trades were delivered to the custodians via CIDD or email and settled in WSO and internal accounting platform
- Identify trades executed for the following day to enable settlement in advance
- Update the settlement date information in WSO and the internal portfolio accounting platform
- Process rate resets, principal payments, restructures, and monitor income processing
Front Office and other Business Area Support
- Provide support to Portfolio Managers and Traders
- Field ad hoc requests and questions to provide additional support as needed
Ideal Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of investment related experience (includes internship experience) and/or bank loan settlement experience.
- Bachelor’s degree/equivalent work experience, including exposure to basic investment accounting.
- Experience in trade operations processes and servicing bank loans.
- Experience with Markit WSO Software, ClearPar, Loan IQ and Loans Platform a plus.
- Experience with Advent Geneva or Eagle accounting systems a plus.
- Bloomberg and Bloomberg AIM experience a plus.
- Experience with Excel and VLOOKUPs a plus.
- Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and proficient documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team.
- Works well under pressure and is comfortable with change and complexity.
- Demonstrated ability in being flexible and working with stakeholders and colleagues at all experience levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication and comprehension skills.
- Ability to handle multiple competing deadlines and tasks required.
The salary range is $63,000 to $77,000.
The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan.
