• Continue developing your professional talents and skills by completing challenging work assignment to generate and influence business results
• Participate in events to learn more about the departments at State Farm, how an insurance company works and how Financial Operations supports other departments in forming their strategy to achieve results
• Interact with Executive leadership through mentoring relationships

Intern work topics in Data Analytics may include:

• Enhanced and discovery analytics
• Statistical modeling and forecasting
• Performance and operational trend analytics
• Modernization of analytical tools and capabilities
• Exploratory data analysis and tool creation
• Data management enhancements and automation

Duties and Responsibilities may include:

• Utilizing business intelligence, data systems, financial/statistical resources and analytical software to deliver data-driven solutions that leverage visualization, statistics or other mathematical approaches for data analysis.
• Building and/or modifying existing data applications to meet project requirements including designing, coding, testing and implementing.
• Contributing to modernization efforts to help ensure data is available to support future analytic capabilities.
• Compiling, preparing and translating complex data into user-friendly reports with actionable insights.
• Partnering with associates and other data/analytics areas to implement and execute research and reporting activities that will inform decision making.

• Summer Internship Dates: 5/19/2025-8/1/2025
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 38.75 hours per week
• Due to the short duration of the summer program, it is an expectation that hired interns will be available for the duration of the summer internship with little to no disruption in work schedule.
• Pay: $28.00/hr. In addition, interns selected for our summer internship program will be eligible for a $2,000 stipend!
• Work Arrangement: Selected interns should plan to spend time working from home and some time working in the office as part of our hybrid work environment. Please note that relocation benefits will not apply.
• Hub Location(s): Bloomington, IL; Dunwoody, GA; Richardson, TX; Tempe, AZ

Qualifications:

• Minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 (overall and in major)
• Must be enrolled in school through the completion of the internship
• Pursuing degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Computer Science or related field(s)
• Programming skills in analytics software (SAS, SQL, R, Python, AWS Cloud Products, PowerBI or related)
• Knowledge and/or experience with database querying, data modeling and statistics
• MS Excel & PowerPoint proficiency
• Written and verbal communication
• Teamwork
• Critical thinking and analytical problem solving
• Initiative and curious mindset
