We are looking for current graduate students who are passionate about understanding how consumers think, feel and act in the insurance and financial services space. The ideal candidate would be a researcher who has experience with quantitative research, qualitative research, or both. This includes the ability to create surveys, analyze quantitative data, and/or employ qualitative methods such as conducting one-on-one interviews and summarizing overall themes. Being able to communicate well and visualize your findings to create impact are also key.

Responsibilities
As a Customer Experience Research Intern on the CIM Team, you will:
- Work with peer researchers to understand research needs and develop/execute research efforts to support those needs.
- Execute new primary quantitative or qualitative research to understand customer needs/expectations and improve the customer experience.
- Quantitative researchers: Perform statistical analyses on various data sets to explain customer behavior.
- Qualitative researchers: Utilize qualitative methods to understand “the why” behind customer behavior and help build compelling customer stories.
- Communicate complex analyses and insights in a simple and actionable way to business partners; develop creative and immersive ways to help business partners take data from insights to action.
- Collaborate within a fast-paced team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, think outside the box, and constantly focus on developing yourself and your skills.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a MS or PhD degree in a research-related field like Psychology, Statistics, Data Science, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, Anthropology, Design Thinking, Economics, or Marketing.
- Experience scoping, designing, and conducting quantitative and qualitative research.
- Quantitative researchers: Experience manipulating and analyzing structured and unstructured data using tools such as R, SPSS, SAS, Python, or Qualtrics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
