SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to include installation of equipment, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Work with Site Leadership and EHS Manager to quickly repair, resolve, and maintain all Safety equipment and Crane systems in a predictive manner. Use productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facilities equipment. Laser, Plasma Table, Press Brakes, Welders, Hoists, Drills, and Lathes.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during routine servicing.
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, troubleshoot and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment OEM and Wabtec manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Comply with all Corporate and Site safety regulations, maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned such as building maintenance and motor vehicle maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma/GED and minimum 5 years or more years related work experience.
  • Preferred: Computer and IT experience
  • Precise, accurate, detail oriented
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and prioritize assigned tasks.
  • Highly motivated individual that has a strong drive for results and able to work independently.
  • Ability to cooperate and possesses strong interpersonal skills to work effectively as a team member.
  • Proficient with specialized equipment used in daily tasks, hand tools, operation of light and heavy industrial equipment.
